TRANSPORTATION SALES REPRESENTATIVE


MARYLAND-BASED SUPPLY CHAIN & TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS BUSINESS, located in Damascus, is looking for accomplished sales professional to work the full cycle sales process.

DESCRIPTION: Our Company is expanding, and we are looking for someone who will focus on reaching small businesses and large corporations by building the transportation/logistics portion of the business supply chain.

We offer a valuable, full cycle, on-demand transportation management system (TMS) solution to various industries requiring truck transportation services.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate is expected to manage the sales process from cold calling (some referrals will be supplied), setting up appointments, distributing materials, performing demonstrations, managing objectives, and closing sales.

Candidate must be:

able to rapidly grow sales and build successful sales processes
able to self-manage the sales process, and perform diligent follow-up
able to participate with top management and internal staff in developing solutions and deployment activities
knowledgeable of the transportation/logistics with at least 2-5 years experience
professional in demeanor and representation
computer literate with specific knowledge of the internet, database applications, and Microsoft Office programs
able to travel locally (across Maryland and occasionally beyond)
competent to provide some basic user training support
excellent written and oral skills to effectively influence others

Candidate may work from home office.

COMPENSATION:

Negotiable base salary and expense allowance as well as an attractive commission on all contracts
